If you had the choice between a mint stamp that had absolutely perfect dead-on centering, but was previously hinged, or a MNH stamp who's centering was list as "fine.", which would you pick?
I had that choice today, and I picked the hinged stamp. Once it's in the mount, you never see the gum any way.
