Thanks for your reply and information about event covers, which I was not aware of, and I will try and do a better job next time by only uploading advertisement mailing envelopes in the future.

Here are a few more advertising mailing envelopes, not event covers, that I have found over the many years. Attached is a beautiful 1911 postmarked advertisement mailing envelope with a canceled 2 cent George Washington Scott # 375 stamp on it.

Here is another beautiful and colorful 1910 postmarked advertising mailing envelope with a canceled George Washington 2 cent stamp (Scott #375) on it.

The EDU date for #375 is 12/3/1910. So, if the stamp on this cover is a #375 and not a #332, you have an example of the EDU for #375.

Thanks Al E. Gator for your reply. The Scott #332 is a double watermark stamp and was originally issued in November of 1908. And the Scott #375 is a single watermark stamp and was originally issued in November 1910. Both of these 2 cent George Washington stamps have perforations of 12.

The chances of someplace like Williamsport, Pa. having the new SL stamp on the first day, is pretty small (pop. 31, 860 in 1910). Especially for a commercial mailing, they would have almost certainly had a supply on hand since this was not likely to be an isolated piece of mail.

From the Berkum-Siskin data base for EDUs: 11/23/10 is the date "contemporary philatelist" report #375 was placed on sale in Washington D.C. I agree it is probably a stretch, but its worth lifting to watermark it and find out.

Thanks AI E. Gator and revcollector for your comments. I was doing some more research and found a 1909 postmarked advertising envelope from the same GEO. BUBB & SONS Wholesale Grocers as the one that I had previously posted, which is not mine and it is currently selling on ebay. But this one has a cancelled 2 cent George Washington stamp (Scott #319) on it. And as far as the 1910 postmarked one that I had previously posted, I am not 100% certain as to say for sure if it has a canceled Scott #375 or Scott #332 on it without removing it to check its watermark, which I do not plan on doing.
