I was doing some internet research on an entirely unrelated subject and came upon this 43-year-old news article from the Tuscaloosa News dating all the way back to June 22, 1969.
I found it an interesting read even though the author was obviously not a stamp collector and had no interest in it. Just imagine where the US Postal Service would be were it not for the revenue generated by issuing stamps.
