One has to be careful for these ink prited Over Prints recently
there apprears many fake rubber ink stamp applied.

This Obligatory Refugee Relief Tax was levied from 15 Nov 1971 to 31 March 1973 For Provisional Issue Over Print by Machine was from Nasik and Banglore. Visiting INDIA in 2008 I have many fake Ruber Stamp Refugee Relief Over Prints seen. Specially in Blue Ink.

i have one just like the above stamp,where it says 100 instead of 1re,

why did they change it from 1re to 100?

I think it means 1.00 rather than 100

yes but what I mean is why did they change it, when 100 paise and 1 rupee both are same and also the 'p' is missing(if you see the older stamps it says 10p 20p 50p etc)

India dropped decimal points in the denomination and the currency in postage stamps from 1975.
