Nice one same, possibly an EFO (Errors Freaks or Oddities) Maybe lint on the printing plate, albeit, the Queen's ear seems to evidence damage on other issues.

Wow! nice Patriotic Fund, Same. Catalogue T22 from "Comprehensive Catalogue of Australian Stamps" 1999 CV: 1999 : $450 / $350 AUD I am no authority on Queensland, but I do not recall ever seeing an Octagonal cancelling hammer before, as you show previously. Welcome to a "warm" Queensland |

This is the first time I have ever noted the Pilot (Cow Catcher) also fitted to the rear of a Locomotive. I ponder an error in the drafting? or actually occurred.

Hi Johan, they all look nice to me. Like the telegraph branch counter strike, and the REGISTERED BARCALDINE part strike. Alas we all appear novices here, to value the postmarks, you need a Queensland Postmark compendium and rarity guide, similar to this one for Western Australia. |

Quote: For anyone interested, here is an online resource, 'Queensland Catalog of Numerical Cancellations on Postage Stamps', Just tossing a few things around. Using Johan's first image, "Rays" #48 (Saint Lawrence) to Sandgate A distance circa 480 Km. Why are the "31 Rays" examples not listed? Am I missing something? (Apparently 9 types of "Rays") Members, any ideas? if not I'll email the webmaster. |
