Cross Cancell On Old Stamp / Who's Cross Is It?

Out of all the stamps I have been going through thus far,I am quite sure I havnt run across one that impressed me like this before mostly because of the cancell on it,that cross on it..what is it anyone know?

Just a typical British cancel of the period, with a Maltese Cross for decoration. If there were British Post Offices in Malta at that time, it could possibly be one of their cancels.

It was postmarked on a Monday, and King Edward VII (the king depicted on the stamp) died on Friday, four days later.

That makes it interesting, but not valuable. A little better centering on the cancel would add some eye appeal. Still nice, though.
