In Defense Of The Plain And Lower Value Stamp !

Well its taken me a lifetime(almost) to appreciate those little plain looking and lower value stamps !! Like with members of the opposite sex our eyes seek out what is pleasing to them...What attracted me to stamps in the first place ? It was the colorful French colonies so popular with approval dealers when I was a 9 year old...when mounting stamps in my albums I cherry picked and left lots of small and lower value spaces empty..so now I go back over the stamps I have purchased and stashed away over the last 25 years or so ..buying from myself and coloring a lot of pages in the Scott Internationals !
