Not being an expert on these, I am leaning towards an essay of some sort for a souvenir folder / sheet that may have been handed out at this show, or included in the admittance fee??

Here's an ebay listing for the same item, also referred to as an Essay. Just don't hold too much stock into the idea that the item is valued at $150. That is the BIN price and in this case, no bids have yet been offered, so presumably it will sell for less--perhaps much less:

Billsbargainstamps !

We've discussed his stuff before and it is not just overpriced !
He has ridiculous prices on almost everything. I have written to him a few times querying this and never had a reply. He is above all that, so I hear.

Goodbye Bill I say.

...anyway, after my rant I am going to hazard a guess as I have never seen this item before.
I am not an expert on US Exhibition Cinderellas but have seen enough and researched enough to have a punt at this.

As in the UK and other countries special edition 'souvenirs' were issued, often similar in design to the regular types and my guess is that this is what this is. Is there a number on the back ?
Is it a card, maybe it's a cut-out from the postcard shown ?
Very nice item. I'll delve a bit more and see what I can find.

This is an actual stamp with the original gum on the back. I actually have three of these all in mint condition.

When you find out a value [I am looking in that regard] and when you get to 50 posts [not long now!] and if you wish to sell one, I am interested.

A lot of 'ifs' and 'buts' I know but there's hope.

Isn't there?

Wonderful....the absolute joys of Stamp Collecting. I have just been to 'My ebay' and on the left side are recently viewed items. In my case they are both the same item.....Billsbargainstamps offering for $150 and Lotsoflots offering directly underneath for $7.50 !

Sorry, but it's the funniest thing I've seen all week.

One question: That Bills Bargain Stamps ebay link identifies the stamp as BP3497. Is that just a dealer stock identifier or is there an accepted catalog on these things where that number was taken from?

He has almost 2,500 Proof items listed and others have similar numbers. I guess it's a stock identifier.

I have been trying to find out some info on the mysterious Engraver-cum-Publisher, Vose-Swain.

I have found very little as they have no website and do not want to be on any list [I read one angry response from someone within the company].
It appears that all the info available is contradictory to all the info available.

Guess I'll have to go to Boston to satisfy my curiosity.
