It is a 1905 King Edward VII regular issue envelope, embossed by the Department Of Public Printing and Stationery ( Webb's. Postal History Catalogue). Webb value is $2.00.

The Railway cancellation in interesting.

BUT, what really caught my eye was the destination : Bay View Michigan. As a result of your posting this cover I plan to visit Bay View next summer.

Here is the Bay View web site:

http://www.bayviewassociation.org/

I have visited Chautauqua, New York, many times and have enjoyed lectures, concerts and plays. This is how Chautauqua is described on it website:

Chautauqua Institution is a community on the shores of Chautauqua Lake in southwestern New York state that comes alive each summer with a unique mix of fine and performing arts, lectures, interfaith worship and programs, and recreational activities. Over the course of nine weeks, more than 100,000 visitors will stay at Chautauqua and participate in programs, classes and community events for all ages—all within the beautiful setting of a historic lakeside village.

Next summer I'll be going to both Chautauquas.

I also like the railway cancellation. It is a #W181 in the Ludlow Catalogue and has a R Factor (not $$) of 240, where 500 is the rarest. This cancellation is a Type 17A and this run was in use from 1906 to 1910 only. They are known East & West-bound only and yours is East and hammer #9. It is nice clear strike too.
