I always loved the centering on this cancel, but could never tell if there was any significance. Not your typical date cancel. Anything special?

Nicer-than-average strike on a nice stamp.

Walsall is a large industrial town in the West Midlands of England. It is located northwest of Birmingham and east of Wolverhampton.

I think I actually see my stamp! Look back 273 rows and up the mountain to the 23rd box. There it is!

:)
Parcels being of freeform shape, naturally do not take well
to a steel designed CDS date stamp.
Hence the rubber design hammer, for ease of use.
