I approach Delcampe purely as a buyer. If there are any sellers reading this perhaps they can clarify something for me:
In the past, when I have had several bids with the same seller spread over a period of time, they have always waited until the final auction is over and then sent me a single invoice (and single shipping figure) for all the lots. In the last three years I can't remember more than a tiny handful of occasions on which I have been sent a 'premature' invoice. And yet it has now happened FOUR times in less than two days.
All four dealers have been happy to wait and send a single invoice at the end - after I have pointed out the situation to them. But that it should happen so many times makes me wonder if Delcampe have changed their system. Did they used to mark a completed sale in a different way if it was the last, or not the last, of a series of bids. Or is my experience just a case of pure coincidence? (Three of them were dealers I had never used before.)
If something has changed, buyers need to keep a careful eye open, to avoid paying multiple shipping.
I haven't seen any changes, but if there are items that end at different times over the course of several days or so I can see where a seller would send an early invoice as they didn't see you had other bids that ended later. A seller would have to check through the ongoing bids to see if there were any outstanding bids before sending an invoice. This is one reason why I always have my items end exactly at the same time each week to avoid this problem.
