One thing about Palo no one has mentioned- the page size, they are huge, compared to Mystic or even Scott.

That's kind of odd, since Steiner uses US Letter size pages and Palo is supposed to use Steiner's layout. Would you mind if I PMed you and send you some Steiner pages to compare against your Palo album?

It depends on the type of page you're getting from Palo.

-Deluxe pages are 8 1/2" x 11"
-Economy pages are 10" x 11 1/2"
-Premium pages are 10 3/4" x 12 1/4"

Apastuszak- I have some Steiner pages on 8.5 x 11 paper and will try to measure my Palo pages shortly. Will post the dimensions- at one time I used Lindner and felt those were almost too big- these are possibly bigger. It seems odd to me, too. I wonder if the owner of Palo intentionally made his pages an odd size to ensure he's be able to sell binders, too? He wouldn't be the first album publisher to do that.

PS- it does help to read the last reply- someone already posted the Palo page size, I use the premium pages.

Scott Pages, though large, will fit in a standard size binder. I have tried it. Not sure about other brands. Using 6, 8 and 14 ring systems is a better lock-in than paper size. Does having extra rings really buy you anything?

As mentioned, the Palo pages (All sizes) have the same page layout format as the Steiner pages- as Steiner provides them.

If I was collecting a country or two, then the quality of a Palo page would be hard to beat, and the cost would be reasonable.

But for a WW classical collector, the Steiner pages are just the thing- best deal on the planet IMHO.

One concern that was mentioned about Steiner are the lack of illustrations.

In reality, not really an issue, as the Steiner follows the modern Scott catalogue for layout almost exactly. A glance at the catalogue resolves stamp space identification questions quickly in my experience.
