With quite a few post about best in collection and most valuable , I was also thinking of a bucket list of $5000+ cat value stamps. This would be a running list unless of course someone has figured how to turn scotts or SG into highest price first spreadsheet. Not looking at on cover values since that expands things expotentialy.
Of course there are the sky high rarities which we can knock off as well such as three skilling yellow, british guyana black on red, Can 2c on laid , inverted Jenny and the list goes on for the few that only change hands to millionaires.... This list would be better served with stamps that are at least potentially attainable . Something that is $5000+ per stamp and only 100 printed and known to be all owned by the smithsonian really doesn't help. Of course chances on many would be slim but lets see what we can come up with.
