$38,838 For Neil Armstrong Quote On C76 Airmail Stamp Pane

Did anyone catch the final price realized for this item at a recent auction (even with its terribly ugly frame)?

It's said to be the only known example of Neil Armstrong having written out the entire first words he said when he set foot on the moon.

I wonder if it would have been worth more had he written and autographed the quote directly on the selvage of the stamps rather than on a separate sheet of paper?

I guess we'll never know.
