Well folks heres another chance for Royal mail to reduce the debt by overloading the public with the birth of the future heir to the throne. As Kate and William are now expecting what are the odds we will see a royal baby on stamps in 2013. Ironicaly listening to this news at the same time my daughter is getting prepped for a C section to deliver my new granddaughter.!!

So... baby prince or princess stamps! But first many countries will rush out the announcement stamps, then comes the royal birthday stamps, then the happy family stamps, then the happy uncle Prince Andrew taking another backhander after secret trade talks stamps, the other uncle Prince Edward (who is tea-boy to Andrew Lloyd Webber) making a cup of tea stamps, the grandfather Prince Charles talking to plants stamps, the great grandfather the Duke of Edinburgh insulting a foreigner stamps, the great grandmother the current queen Mrs Windsor bestowing loads of medals and awards to all concerned (thinks : where DID Prince Charles win all those medals he wears at ceremonies).
Fantasy? Probably not. Inevitably there will also be reprints of the awful Princess Diana stamps as well to commemorate... er... something or other.

Scotzm- with ideas like that Royal mail may knock on your door with a lucrative job offer. Already talk of twins even triplets as early heavy morning sickness is a sign of multiples. Where does that leave the monarchy? Would first out get the throne ? I smell conspiricy already. Just thinking when William takes over will he become a machin??

Do I detect a note of cynicism?

Hi KirkS,

Cynicism? I cherish a wild hope that Princess Anne raises an army and challenges Charles for the Crown. She is way better than all the others in line before her and has the same grit and bearing that the Queen has. Another civil war, now that would be an interesting stamp issue.
