Hello everyone,

I am a new member and would like to know if anyone out there knows if the yearly Canadian collection albums offered by Canada Post includes souvenir sheets in the collections.

I've collected Canadian mint since 1957 and have never purchased one, as they do not include all of the varities (singles from panes, coils, souvenir sheets and booklets) of an issue. I don't believe that there is a secondary resale market for them.

Welcome to the forum Cliffy

I have had several of them given to me as Christmas presents, and, yes, they include the S/S for any given year.

What I meant to imply was that there are no singles taken from coils, booklets or souvenir sheets, not that there weren't any souvenir sheets.

Although they are missing some varieties such as coils I did read that there have been error types that have only been found in year sets. I'm sure I read that through arpin or bnaps but can't recall what and when. The hard covers are nice sitting on the shelf but the older soft bound are very plain. Trying to come up with a sale price on 20 of these is hard since the weight will be about 40-50lbs.

Here's one example off the top of my head - this Petro-Canada stamp exists with two different forms of die-cutting. The rare one was only available in the year-end collection and the quarterly releases pack. On the rare version, the die-cutting was done upside down, so there are two peaks upward on the top instead of one. Note that the Canadian Postal Archives site shows the rare copy!
