Will you be looking for stamps to buy on the auction sites over the Xmas period?

I'm thinking this could be a good time to buy if other buyers are pre-occupied with Xmas festivities.

I think so.
Many will be spending time with family and have spent there extra cash on gifts.
I have stopped listing Auctions at 99c starts and having a reserve till after the newyear. But will be hunting hard looking for a bargain

I am hoping after Christmas.
I am a little slow taking in new technology,
but I need a laptop as a backup to my desktop.
Looked at a friends Android "Cube" tablet yesterday as a reader / browser,
that looks smashing, but not sure if adaptable to
Stamp CD Roms, and *.pdf's taking on the road etc.

Agree with Jack, prices / competition, should hopefully be sluggish
for the few months after Christmas

Last year I stop a week before Christmas & January. It took until the end Feb before things moved again.

This year I am not. It is full steam ahead.

Someone that watches and has helped me believes Jan will be strong for us and his bricks and mortar stamp shop will be very slow.

He wants to have a look at what happens and believes stopping is the only reason why it takes the month of Feb to get things moving again.

Looks like I am going to find out. Education costs next year are huge for me.

Well good for you John,
sometimes a break is good to have though !

Let us know if there is any discernible price variance of items offered over the
next 8 weeks.

Thank you "extremely" very much Rod for showing an interest!

Pre-Christmas has been normal but less people are buying heaps more. I will even be listing a little and relisting heaps through Christmas, my birthday & New Year. Absolutely no stopping but extra help from my family makes it a special time.

I really would like to have a holiday but my families education needs are more important to me. Four of my family need the help. It is nice to be needed and to me it is the right way for me to be needed by my family.

January is one of the months of the year that I just like to take stamps off paper but "we"(and I love that we) started at the end of Nov and hopefully "we" will be finished by the end Jan.

The amount we sell is way over the top for most SCF members but selling gave me a second chance to help my family after a horrible accident that robbed them of my help and support.

The money means nothing to me but it means everything to be able to help my family again.

I wake up in the morning and it is stamps until I go to bed totally exhausted at night. It sound horrible but I still love working with stamps.

I am doing what the doctors said I would never do again.

It would mean a great deal to me to share the journey over the next 6 to 8 weeks. Even with my family around me I still get very alone in it all.

"Yes KGV is over the top again" but that is my lot and I am very gratefully that I can do it.

Thanks again Rod! John!

You know you're never alone on SCF, KGV!
