I need help! I won a stamp collection in the NYStamp sale yesterday, and when I tried to pay for it using Pay Pal, "all hell broke loose." My old Pay Pal membership did not "work." I spent 45 minutes on the phone with a lady from Pay Pal trying to correct the problem. Finally, after all that time, I thanked the lady for trying to help and told her that it would be easier for me to go to the moon than to understand what she was telling me to do. I hung up at that time, and I still do not know how to pay for the stamps I won. Is there a way I can bypass Pay Pal and send a check or credit card number directly to NYStamps? I will never understand what Pay Pal wants me to do. Take pity on me, an old man, who does not understand "computer" talk.

Of course you can deal directly with NYStamp. Call up and offer to send them a postal money order, and be sure to write the item number (and your full address) on the money order. They are big boys, all they care about is getting paid.

The word "old" stands out so maybe you have changed your email address and your account is linked to that? If so, log in using your "old" account details then make adjustments to email and other details.

Take a step back and relax...no ones going to jail..Paypal and ebay will want NYStamps to get their money..everything will work out. I remember in 1998 when I started with ebay...what it took to talk to a human voice. They are better now !

If you go to your "My ebay" page and click on the Purchase History, there is a list of items you've won. To the right of the item you've won is a a list of links. One is the payment link and the next is Contact Seller. You can click on "Contact Seller" to send a message to NYStamps. You can also pay with a credit card directly instead of using Paypal.

I had issues myself but not this bad. I wanted to pay for a lot by CC and I've done it before but for some reason ebays checkout insisted on emptying my account and putting remainder on the CC. I'm hoping I can go in and do it direct with the CC as I have automatic sellers fees come out of paypal and don't want it empty.

Had a problem this morning, paying for a lot,
Dealer link said "pay now"
clicked on that
A Paypal advert came up with no link (as is usual)
to pay, ie no invoice.

I have emailed the vendor and told him what has happened
and will try again in the morning.
