Well I am expanding my airmail collection from the years of 1940-1960. Many of these issues are low value stamps so I either need a show to attend or a World Airmail dealer that could assemble part of this or at the least carry this type of stock. Would greatly appreciate any suggestions on a dealer to contact. Thanks.

Try Zillions of Stamps. There are many big dealers and you can search by Scott #.

Also, look at Bidstart. In addition to seeing what's available when you search, you can also create a wantlist there, stamp by stamp, and you'll get a notice whenever someone lists one of the stamps on your wantlist.

To me, one of the shortcomings of Zillions of Stamps is that a lot of the listings don't have illustrations. That's much less common on Bidstart.

I think there's been some good improvement on there over the last couple of years, and, as you have may read, Stanley Gibbons just bought it from the guy who developed it (and still runs it).

Some people have difficulty searching on there, but it's mostly because the search is so powerful, rather than so lame. If you have any questions, feel free to ask them on their discussion boards, or here, and someone will try to answer them. (Oftentimes, especially with search, the developer answers them.)

Full disclosure: I have a small store on there, but have been rooting for them a long time, because there needs to be a stamp-oriented site that's a viable alternative to ebay.

Also, I just remembered, if you're a member of the APS, their stamp store is also a good source.

Stamps2go may be a good option for low value issues.

1775mac, I have had pretty good luck with monk57 on bidstart for inexpensive purchases. He has a large inventory and pretty good communication. Certainly there are many good sellers besides him on bidstard. fyi - I am not related to or personally know him.
regards, yakboomer
