I use a lot of these type of storage books as they are for sheet stamps, sheetlet. S/S or M/S and mailing sheet stamps.

The type that I see you have are the ones I have cut down from approx 1 yard x 2 feet into 2 and I store my large covers etc in them. They have discoloured after 5 years of use. I am using 16 of them. $10 each sounds like a lot of money per book to me but they are only 24 pages.

I store all of our really good stuff in Germany made sheet books that cost $35 new and we have 9 of them stuffed full of quality stock. These type of books are lasting very well and they have been in use over 10 years now. $20 to $25 would be a very good price for this type of sheet book. They have 12 double sided pages. It is truly amazing how much stock you can fit into one of these books but it takes two people to use these books to restock the listing storage half pages.

Hope it is of some help.KGV

Yes KGV .. these are 30"x20" sheets folded and one pocket made.
Total pockets per book are between 96 to 110 pockets. Glassine paper I do not see any difference but binding looks average .. say not very attractive leather like. I checked on internet Uline and other showed .51 cent over for each page. So I thought I would check here first what is others opinion. I paid 17 USD I wich I should have asked this here first...
Thank you very much for advice.

Cheers

The problem with old glassines and old mint sheet stock books is that they may contaminate stamps. You don't know what's been in them, and whether the previous stamps were infected with rust, sometimes called tropical stain (which comes from a tiny insect, has nothing to do with rusting iron or any metal).

This is the gamble with old supplies.

Oh no not old Glassine used paper. I was talking recent Glassine paper. Technological and know how now a days have improved in many fields. When 60's Film negatives in perfect condition at present I am sure Glassine would be better than 50 years ago Glassine Paper Production. Recent market has more archival glassine paper demand than before.
Also 190 stamps full Sheet how to store. Now as days sheets/panes are not larger size but there are some, which do not fit in Vario or any other brand Sheets.

Anyway couple of books would not hurt at present.
