Thanks, KirkS...!

I'm into postal history covers. (no fdcs or cachet's) Probably why I'm neater than most. The collection & reference library resides behind me and in a closet.

Now, this post was a fantastic read and I really enjoyed seeing all the pictures, I am nowhere near having a stamp room yet, but I can see how it can happen. But as for me, I'm keen on organization and agreed that I'm not allowed to buy any new stamps until I'm done sorting and cataloging what I currently have and that my friends for a newbie has been quite the endeavor!

tsktsk moldman... that's entirely... I don't even have words.

Frankly, if you can move without fear of knocking something over, then I think it's too clean. :P

Phil, at least there appears to be some method to your madness...

I'll try to work up the courage to take a picture or two. I don't have a stamp room; I have a stamp box. It's from a case of copy paper. It holds my stuff (which is very little yet), and I can set up at the dining room table or the coffee table. Well, theoretically, I could do that. In reality, I usually end up just stacking things on a dining room chair.

Hi!
I can't pass along a pic (me & Photobucket have issues) but I'll describe the situation here. We are fortunate to have spare rooms upstairs to use. One of the smartest things I ever did was "let" the wife have one room for her hobbies, and a separate one for mine. Her room is immaculate, with PC, exercise thing, tv, etc., etc. Mine has a model building desk (I'm an avid model railroader) and a PC desk. There are also two bookcases and two cabinets. It is just full of STUFF. For my recent "Big Blue" buying/building spree I installed a temporary card table. And, the model building desk is now used for stamping activities like soaking, drying, sorting, and installation.

Gotta say, it is my happy place...............
