Knowledge is power - don't be fooled

eBay Auction Link

http://www.ebay.com/itm/BIAFRA-Free...em2326d73e58

Relevant Link for the "Stamp" on Offer

http://www.africastamps.org/Biafra_2010.htm

Obviously the bidders are not aware of what they are actually bidding for and what a realistic price is

As has been stated on numerous occasions - knowledge is power

PS www.africastamps.org is an "interesting" site to say the least

Hello!

One of the problems is that the bidder it not read the description, for example, in the ebay auction the seller it mentioned clearly that the stamp is a Cinderella

Regards!

I may be a little naive here, but could it be that the bidders (four of them) did know what they were bidding on but just really wanted it?
The 'stamp' may not be worth what the winner paid, but it could be worth it to him/her.
Why should we assume ignorance, why not think enthusiasm?

Old saying goes: "Capitalist with printing press think paper go in one end; money come out other."

Dig the other "labels" this group offers: http://www.africastamps.org/Stamp.htm

(to U.S. Cinderella collectors; make sure you scroll down to see the TEXAS, VERMONT and HAWAII issues.)

The site mentioned by huckles is but a trip through fantasy land.

Sadly, so many modern day fantasy and bogus stamps fetch high prices. It is what collectors are willing to pay. Some auction and dealer sites are full of them. Some are so full of them that browsing for classical Cinderellas at a fraction of the price [how sad is that?] has become impossible.

I have only made one purchase all year !
