A good, albeit lengthy (6 page) article appearing in the February 2013 edition of Esquire Magazine on the US Postal Service:

No audio, but a link to the related video on the US Post Office:

Honestly I haven't used the post office in a long time. Wouldn't bother me either way if it went the way of the dinosaur, I do my bill paying on the internet.

For a while I dreaded the mail, always something bad. Then I realized I just wasn't doing it right and now I look forward to it everyday!
Like the folks who show me their photos on their cell phone, then drop the phone into a lake or something. I now do photoalbums. I can think of a zillion other comparisons as well. :)

I'm still a human being, and the ways things were done for centuries are more satisfying, and frankly quicker and easier imo than other stuff.
*disclaimer, I was taught programming at 4 years old in the 1980's, so no ones going to change my mind*

PS for everyone on every thread talking about online billpaying, what bills, for credit cards? How do you get those cards, UPS leave the box on the door step?

No, I do want the Postal Service. UPS, Fedex and all the rest of them could not make up for the loss of the US postal service. Try sending a Christmas card vis UPS sometime and see what it costs. Rarely does time in transit of the delivery of mail disappoint me, and besides, our regular carrier is a great guy!

It might be my geographic location, but I get packages from great distances via the USPS quicker than UPS and the other 2 for shorter distances. I like my carrier as well.
