So we've all heard that the USPS is going to scale back mail delivery to 5 days a week, but will continue to deliver packages on Saturday.
Now, we're being told by the PMG that there is a new development in that packages will soon be delivered on both Saturdays and SUNDAYS, too (in some areas)!
If the USPS can afford to deliver packages 7 days a week, even if its only limited to certain areas, but has to scale back mail delivery to 5 days a week, I just wonder what kind of net savings they are realizing in doing so. They're expanding package delivery and reducing regular mail delivery. So where's the savings?
Seems counterproductive to me.
