In my accumulations, "someone" did, as a box lot I bought years ago had over 5,000 black 2c Hardings, and NO perfins or precancels, meaning those had been sorted out.

If you want a custom-tailored obsession, I can fix you right up.

Ha-ha I'm betting it has a scooter on it though doesn't it? Is it the one in your avatar? I seem to remember you was searching the world over for it, heck I even still keep my eyes open for you on that account!

Hi Canadian Philatelist, can you tell me what would be a decent price to pay for this? I am thinking about getting one but not sure about the pricing.

Well that's kind of hard to answer because there are lots of different varieties for this stamp which means multiple values. I already have all the varieties so I only bid on the cheap stuff...I stay within my budget of $3-$4 each for VF used. I'll pay about $1 for ones with faults. Of course you can't always win an auction with bids like that but I try =)

Well I have three stamps that I seem to be focusing on....
Moto Guzzi race bike on the 1954 San Marino stamp....
Here is the mint full sheet I just bought yesterday.

The Moto Guzzi racer on the Isle of Man stamp...

and yes, the 1996 Italian Vespa stamp and the yellow error (that I now have in my collection (see avatar). Here is the standard stamp.

Not a single stamp but a single type. Machins!
I never imagined how anybody could be interested in these until I started a basic collection which leads on to more, much more specialisation.

I also buy any 'Blue Flea' accumulations I come across. I have thousands of them. All yet to be sorted as there are over 100 varieties.
