Other than my dad's album and arranged collections I also inherited this bags.Just wondering what I could or should do with theses. These are all 25 years and above. My dad retired about 25 years ago. Till his retirement he was an active collector. Upon his retirement he just laid his collections aside and I picked it up about three years ago.

Not sure what you collect or don't collect, but there looks to be some interesting stamps in those lots; if it were me, I'd soak and press them and keep them. If nothing else, they can be used for exchange with other members of this or other forums.

My advice, if you want to keep them, is to soak and sort them and use the dupes for trading power.

I would bet this is/was ancillary to his primary collection. You might want to pursue that possibility.

Just reread the initial post:

a beautiful collection of stamps, looks like. Some nice and very nice cancels on the Great Britain Machin stamps (Queen's head). Interesting cancels (postmarks) from other countries too.

Collectors like to collect cancels also and to preserve the history of the cancel / postmark as proof of service well done.

When younger I was happy to collect stamps in any way I could but now, with experience and good advise under my belt, the cancel is an important part of stamp collecting just as well as collecting mint stamp specimens are.

If you do decide to sell, keep in mind that if a cancel extends onto the paper, it will most likely sell better if you do not soak the stamps off the paper.
