Found this lovely well centered pair but what struck me was the matching cancels. What kind of cancel is this ? Also, what is the name of this stamp ?

EDIT - I just noticed the 50¢ is a Toronto cancel.

It is called a roller cancel. Quite common on the 1897 diamond Jubilee stamps

Yes, roller cancellations. Usually used to cancel higher face value stamps on large packages etc.

They are also a specialty among some collectors too.

The 2 stamps are actually in the small queen category although they are twice the size. The depiction of Queen Victoria is reffered to as widow weeds which is a victorian type of clothing made for wear when mourning. If you google widow weeds it is also a very potent strain of marijuana ranking higher than the victorian term.

I have many..I collect them also. I don't know, I have some strange fascination with them. Its hard to get nice clear, readable ones. You have some nice ones there and on those stamps too.
