In the countries of Catalan culture, like Catalonia and Andorra,it's very typical of Xmas to perform living reconstructions of Jesus Birth.It's what we call "Pessebre Vivent", with people playing the roles of the Virgin, Saint Joseph... And using as scenery whole old villages, of which we have plenty. Sometimes, most of the population of a small town become involved in the play, that is also a touristic attraction for city people. I don't know if any other catholic countries share this tradition, but in Catalonia is very popular.  |
