Finland Sámi culture January 23, 2012 The Sámi people (known in English as Lapps or Laplanders) are an indigenous Finno-Ugric people inhabiting the Arctic area of Sápmi, which today encompasses parts of far northern Norway, Sweden, Finland, and the Kola Peninsula of Russia. The souvenor sheet, which imitates leather, contains four self-adhesive stamps which shaped like mountains. The motifs include a troll-drum, three Sámi Goddesses, and animals and birds.  |

He is best known for his religious works but also produced a considerable number of paintings of contemporary women and children.
