One of my collecting interests is the 1961 Europa issue. Just 1961!

I've discovered that Cinderellas can add some spice to a collection.

Esperanto and Ido

Esperanto is a language that was made up in the 19th century to serve as a universal language. Ido was developed as an improvement on Esperanto.

An esperanto label was attached to this German cover bearing the Europa stamp.

An Ido Europa cinderella stamp was produced:

It looked good enough to fool the German post office:

A souvenir label was prepared for the Naples Europa stamp show:

Below is a 1961 Stampex Exhibition sheet in Offset-Litho by De La Rue.
The sheet shows unadopted Finnish Europa stamps and can also be found with the appropriate issued stamp affixed and cancelled. 3 types exist.
One of the most popular Exhibition sheets ever issued for a UK show.

Although issued in 1961, this sheet does not fit a collection of 1961 Europa stamps. The 1961 stamps featuring birds in flight were issued in September, 1961. I am interested in Europa material produced until September 1962, when the 1962 Europas were issued.

The Finland sheet pictures essays and accepted design of the 1960 Europa set. It is an interesting item nevertheless.

I know - this is very old thread, but I found it while searching for information about Cinderella I found.
This one is very similar to "IDO/EUROPA", but imperforated.
It came mounted to special card (see images).
