Modern Australian Inking Error ?

What can cause this? The left stamp appears normal, while the right one has decreasing parallel lines equal in color to the general background of the stamp. Was this during the during the automatic cancellation process, or during the production of the stamp? Gripper tracks? Just looking for some ideas. Thanks.

It does look like some kind of weird inking freak but you need to get the attention of someone familiar with Australia stamps and their production techniques. But, without the cover that was once home to the weird stamp, and lacking an expert, it might remain a mystery.

I must admit it took me 10mins to find what the question was about. My issue not yours.

The right stamp on its left side in the large white area is an extra cancel. I find them very attractive and they come in at least 4 different colours that I can remember.
