I won an auction for the red/white/blue old Dennison hinges and they arrived today. The package looked its age (40 yrs ???), and I envisioned a solidified "hinge clump" upon opening.
Surprise, surprise, surprise ............ They look like they just came off the production line. Obviously the folks at Dennison knew what they were doing, and its a shame it isn't continued on. Mobilman44

Sorry Bee See, me & Photobucket are at odds the last few months.
It's just the same ol pack I recall from my early collecting years in the '60s. |

Enjoy tasting horse because that's the glue they used. There is a reason why animal glues were stopped. |

Should have bought these up years ago at 29 cents. The return is better than Gold!

Some where in the near future ,maybe two or three years ,the supply of the DENNISON stamp hinge will be exhausted and the price becomes a factor.Thats when the FOLD-O-HINGE will take the place for a removeable hinge. This is what im planing to do, is have a reasonable amount of the FOLD-O-HINGE for future use.If the prices goes over $20.00 a packet for DENNISON hinges ,who will use them ? |
