I was sorting through my covers again and came across the following covers.
The first cover has a Type II oval cancellation for the Canadian forces over there. It is Type II because the wording "EN ROUTE" was omitted under "CANADIAN CONTINGENT" The "Bailey & Toop" reference books states less than 10 strikes are known and are rare. However, I am inclined to think that there may be around 15 or so, though I am not certain on this.
There is also a British type "Field Post Office/ British Army S. Africa" marking on it as well.
Chimo
