Zutopia, March 28, 2013, For Immediate Release – Faezu officials are pleased to announce the establishment of a local post in the realm of Zutopia to act as a liason between the realm and the United States Postal Service. Acceptable forms of payment for the transport of mail will include ZuPost stamps, Faezu Scraps, or other bartered items. A limited-edition ZuPost stamp will be issued on April 4, 2013, to mark the first day of official operations of Zutopia Post, and complimentary first-day covers will be available to inhabitants of the realm and friends in the United States. The commemorative first-day covers will be hand-addressed and cancelled with a Zutopia Post first-day-of-issue postmark, then posted by USPS for subsequent delivery. Requests received on or before April 2, 2013, will be deposited with the USPS on April 4. Requests made after April 2 will be honored but will bear a later USPS postmark. Residents of the United States may utilize the e-mail feature on SCF to request a first-day cover and provide Postmistress Zuzu with a mailing address. (Friends outside the U.S. may contact Postmistress Zuzu to discuss possible trades.) Zutopia is a mostly-fictional realm founded on the principles of creativity and acceptance above all (by someone with apparently too much time on her hands).

Excellent! As the "press release" says, I'll continue to accept requests... If I get any requests tomorrow, and maybe even early Thursday, I can probably get those into the USPS on 4/4/13 but can't guarantee it. |

What creative choices you've made! I've sent you an email. (Still Tuesday here on the West Coast!)

Obviously, I sent one to myself. I'm very pleased with the nice, clear spray cancel! |

Hi Susan,
Thank you so much for the great cover! You did a really nice job. Thanks also, to your little artists for their hard work. Are they stamp collectors, too? If so, I would love to send them each a little packet of stamps.
I will be sure to share your cover with my junior stamp club. I think they will get a kick out of it.
Kind regards, Aimee |

yakboomer and newcollector12, glad you like them! I expect the next issue will come sometime in July after my trip to Wrigley. ;) warrehouse said: Quote: Zuzu are you a member of the Local Post Collectors Society? I'm not a member but am very seriously considering it. spanishmoss said: Quote: Thanks also, to your little artists for their hard work. Are they stamp collectors, too? The almost-nine year old is very interested in stamps, especially space stamps, so I'm thinking of printing off the US space stamps pages from the APS website for her. The six-year old doesn't really have the attention span for it yet, but she does like to help me sort and is slowly getting the hang of stamp tongs. |
