I love the Canadian province stamps; there is really something special about them. This is my latest purchase, a block of nine New Brunswick #8 and, the top right stamp is an 8i, the elongated earing of position 60. Actually, the earing of the stamp in position 59 is also different. I got a good deal as the seller surely didnt notice that there was an 8i in the block.....

Great find Coriandre. That would make a nice show piece at a show.

Awesome. I really enjoy the Canadian provinces as well. They are very beautiful stamps, in fact arguably more pictorial and interesting than most countries of that era. My favorites are Newfoundland, which are equally much more challenging than the current catalog values suggest.

Gilles, here are pics with a better light (sorry, I dont have a scanner).
I had been looking at blocks of NB#8 for a while now.....knowing I would eventually find one with an unoticed 8i.
Funny how the stamp in position 59 also has a "different" earring and is not listed as a variety.
