Here's US Scott 2771, 1993, part of the Country & Western set, featuring Hank Williams holding a guitar.

In case you don't know, Hank was one of the first Country music stars in the late 40's-early 50's & many of his songs are still popular today. A movie based on his life "I Saw the Light" was released last year.



The guitar illustrated is a Martin model D-28 & here he is playing it



The guitar was eventually bought by Neil Young who plays it on stage & has written a song about it - "This Old Guitar" - there are a couple of clips on Youtube in which Neil talks about the guitar & song. Here's Neil playing the guitar & singing the song at "Farm Aid" 2005.



I discovered stamps & guitars when I was 12/13 years old & over 50 years later the obsession is still there.
