Hello!
Thank you in advance for your help. This forum seems wonderful!

I have inherited many stamps from my grandfather- these are just some of the stamps from Indian.

Can anyone tell me if there is any value in these stamps??

Thank you again!

Hello and welcome to the forum. Lots of very helpful people here with some specialists in many areas. I'm a generalist, so can only be of minimal help, however. In my opinion, what you have is a set of mostly newer, low valued items. None of them jump out to me as being higher valued, though some other Indian expert may chime in with a special find. In general, however, even the slightest corner tear or imperfection brings the value down to zero. My collection is LOADED with those types, however, and they tend to stay in my collection until I find a better copy.

Again, thanks for joining, and please post more pictures and more questions so that we can help out.

As already mentioned these may be of minimal value in money terms, Debabrata but of interest anyway. Do a little online research and sort your stamps into year of issue, sets etc. You will soon see more...different postmarks for instance.

Thank you so much for the two replies I have already received!

Partime, you were very encouraging, thank you! And sctozm also, you have a good suggestion and it was encouraging to read.

This is very exciting to be in touch with such experts!

I am very excited to post more of my stamps.
(I apologize, I don't know how many is too many to post and I don't know if I should start a new topic for each posting or if I should continue to post in this same way that I am doing now, etc. Thank you for your patience!)

We all enjoy looking at stamps, so, usually, within reason of course, there is actually no limit to posting.

Search (button upper right) for FAQ (Frequently Asked Question) and many topics will be returned to use this forum.

Starting a new topic for each country (or topic) is recommended. That way, you attract the people who collect or are interested in that topic or country (or area) them selves, and are more knowledgeable and able to help you, when available to do so.

So far, you are doing very well. Please continue.

Question, do you have the ability or resources there to scan a larger resolution version of a stamp scan? I would like to see the stamp circled in my copied photo at a higher resolution, please. If it is possible.

I like the design of theat stamp amd wish to see the possible circular cancel better also. I do not usually collect India but India does have some beautiful stamps indeed.

It looks like it ends with "...NI BADWIP", if that helps. I can't see any closer with the standard Zoom tools.

Wow, Puzzler, I'm glad to at least have something that catches your eye to begin with.
This is exciting!

Here is a zoom in of the stamp you circled.
I hope that it is clear enough for you.

Thank you for the scan!

The way the gentleman was looking and gazing off into the distance caught my eye. Reminded me of me!

I do not have many historic India stamps and am always interested in the designs of stamps, as I am interested in personal customized (personalized) stamps now.
