The Trebon Region in south Bohemia is a traditional center of freshwater fish farming in the Czech Republic. Here is an image of a stamp depicting Trebon fishing nets, designed by Czech artist Jan Solpera, combined engraved by Vaclav Fajt and photogravure, and issued by Czech Republic on May 9, 2001 as a EUROPA stamp, Scott No. 3144, plus a photo of fishermen pulling a net during the traditional carp haul at a lake in Bosilec. - nethryk  |
