On January 21, 1955 French Equatorial Africa issued this 100f airmail stamp (Sc #C40) depicting Kotoko fishermen and their long canoes with nets. From wikipedia, "The Kotoko engage in fishing (with the aid of their long canoes) and in agriculture. The fish they catch is subsequently smoked or dried, then sold in local markets."  |

Ireland issued its set of two 2001 EUROPA stamps in both water-activated gum sheetlet and self-adhesive coil formats. Both sets of stamps were denominated in the old pence and new eurocent denominations, but both of the self-adhesive coilss are the same,30p/38c value. Theme of the stamps is "water resources". Here are the fly fishing/angling designs from the two sets. Water-activated 32p/41c stamp is Hibernian #C1102, and the self-adhesive coil stamp is #C1104.   |

The 28p value (Hib #C435) from Ireland's 7th Irish Waterways series, depicts a fly fisherman in County Mayo. The set of 3 stamps was issued on May 27, 1986.  |

On June 1, 1965 Switzerland issued a five-value set of Pro Patria charity stamps with 4 of the values showing metaphorical images from Biblical scripture. The 30 + 10 (centimes) value (Sc #B348), shown here, depicts "fish haul of the Apostles". Artwork is taken from the 12th century ceiling painting of the Church of St. Martin at Zillis. The partial "Bundesfeiermarken" (national celebration stamps) postmark is a first day cancel of Bern.  |

This June 19, 1976 85 ore stamp (Facit #966) of Sweden is from a booklet of 5 different "Angermanland" designs. Four seine-net fishermen are depicted on this stamp.  |

Here is the Federal Republic of Germany's July 13, 1966 30 pf stamp commemorating the 81st Meeting of German Catholics in Bamberg on July 13-17. Stamp depicts a medieval illustration of "The Miraculous Draught", attributed to Jesus (Luke 5:1-11).  |

This March 13, 1938 pictorial cancel of Neukuhren, East Prussia, Germany depicts a fish above the water. The inscription on the cancel reads, "Germany's largest salmon fishing ground". The Baltic coastal town is now Pionersky (pop.11,312) in the Kaliningrad Enclave, Russia.  |

On May 27, 1975 Bahamas issued a four-stamp set publicizing economic diversification. The 14c value (Sc #375) of the set features commercial and is inscribed "electric reel fishing".  |
