Postmark/Slogans From Guyana

Hi all, from previous posts I realise that there aren't many (if any) here that collect anything from Guyana but need help with finding out more about postal slogans from Guyana.

Here is one example of what I'm talking about;




I have others such as "Fire Prevention Week", "The Post Office Savings Bank Pays You 3% Interest Up To $25000" I am looking for more examples as well as I have several part slogans that I can't identify.

As far as I can make out these slogans were only used in the 1950's to 1960's or at least that is all I have found so far.

Any help would be very useful

If you didn't get a reply to this, I can help. I have a listing up to 1981 - not sure that they were used much in the 80s on - I believe I was told that the cancelling machine broke and wasn't replaced. Guyana is kind of interesting too because the post offices also used "handstamped" slogans - I did an article on those in 1991. Paul

Slogan cancel are very interesting because they tell a lot how a country is manage. And when they are incomplete it's a challenge for me to find the missing words. I don't collect Guyana so there is little to no chance to find a slogan cancel from that country for me. But I believe in miracles. Hope others too will help you in your quest. By the way Guyana is a great country to collect. Daniel
