This is probably not helpful, but in my Commonwealth and Empire, it has its own section, between Leeward Islands and Madagascar.

There are many stamp issuing areas that are not covered in SOTW but are in the sectionals, Long Island is one of them. They are listed in Part I, Commonwealth catalogue,

Hi Drew,

I don't think Long Island stamps are listed in Stamps of the World. They were very much a local issue.

Thanks to Google I see it's now called "Uzunada" and it lies in the Gulf of Izmir on the western coast of Turkay.

Google Maps finds it easily but I wasn't able to persuade the "upload image" link to accept my screen snip.

Thanks for the replies, the reason why I thought they would be listed is because they are listed on SG's website allworldstamps.

Very expensive typewritten stamps.

My 1983 Gibbons Part 1 British Commonwealth has Long Island in the Aegean Sea. It shows #1-3 "Turkish fiscal stamps overprinted 'G.R.I. Postage' and new value".
The rest 4-32 are typewritten on various colours or carbons and each stamp initialed by the Civil Administrator.
It continues 'Stamps of Long Island were withdrawn on 26 March 1916'
Most covers are philatelic and these are worth from x2 the prices quoted for used stamps.
