It's hard to collect early Spanish stamps without funds to buy new material. That's kind of where I'm at. The economy has not been favorable to me and my family, but we push forward.
Without money to buy stamps I have resorted to going through stuff I've had for a long time, stuff that just get's accumulated and put away, mostly non-Spanish stamps. But I have a ton so it will keep me busy for a while.
The other problem is storage and organization (which I'm pretty bad at anyway). On one hand I can't afford to buy stamps right now, on the other I can't afford glassines, stockbooks, 102 cards or anything like that either, so what to do?
I needed a substitute for glassines so I can sort individual stamps. I came up with these.

They are what are called "penny sleeves" and are what are used to hold sports cards. I have literally thousands of these sitting in a drawer, from my sports card collecting. I just cut some scrap paper to fit in the sleeve, for identification. This is a temporary fix to my problem right now. At least I can still enjoy sorting until things get better and I can afford proper storage.
Anyone else have any frugal collecting/sorting/storage ideas?
