Hi philatelists. Can anyone help me to find Rosemary Russell?

When I was a kid 25-30 years ago I bought stamps from her over a 10 year period at the Red Barn Flea Market in Bradenton Florida. She sold stamps that were mostly her brother's and had a Big fish tank full of stamps that were a bargain and helped hook me into collecting.

Sometime in the late 1980's or 1990 she moved to Georgia (I believe) along with her disabled brother with whom she shared a home. I lost touch and have been unable to locate or determine whatever happened. It really bugs me as I knew her for 10+ years. I even named her "The Stamp Lady".

Given that philatelists are such great researchers I thought to start a thread on SCF to see if someone can help.

Her brother may have been named Robert, but I cannot be sure of that. She would probably be in her late 60's or into her 70's now. If she is still earth-bound I would love to get in touch with her again!

Thank you for any information!

Jeremy

Kind of an odd request. I know "Philatelists" appear to be level headed and for the most part I'm assuming law abiding, but how do we know you're not a stalker ?

Simple enough to put safeguards in place. Anyone knowing the lady can pass on the request and name to her, and if she wants to set up a contact that can be easily done through a third party. Good luck Jeremy.

Folks,
That is scary. Another site is "peoplesmart" that does the same. NOTHING seems to be sacred anymore in the internet world. If you have a little knowledge and a lot of patience and a bit of money, you can find out almost anything about anybody. Yikes!

Thanks all! I am overwhelmed by the support and interest (and humor)!

I believe "I Love Stamps" Facebook link may be the right Rosemary. The photo looks right on for someone 30 years later! I sent her a Facebook message asking if she knows who I am. Will post here once I know.

I know philatelists are great researchers, and I was thinking someone may have known/knows her or had a correspondence with address they could share. I last searched some years ago and after going through about 70 persons came up only with a returned letter from the wrong person.

Amazing!

Thank you all and especially I Love Stamps!

Nice one Jeff, never even thought about Facebook. Find a person from 20 years ago in 4 hours, is it scary or convenient ?
