I bought these some time back and thought I would share these with you. I believe these were from the first letter carrier convention in 1890. In July of 1890 there was a meeting of big city letter carriers in New York City to vote on joining the union, which they did. Later in November there was the first national convention held in Boston. I'm not sure which of these they are from. I've looked a numerous photographs of the events but most were at a distance and I couldn't tell. Later events that were held the ribbons became more ornate, akin to some kind of war ribbons. If you have any information regarding I would appreciate. Here is a link to the National Association of Letter Carriers (NALC)
