This one harks back to the day when (1) the postal carrier actually delivered mail to your door (not to a community mailbox); and (2) when people actually got mail! |

This is not necessarily comic humor but a group of comic books devoted to stamps. One of the tag lines is: Stamps are a mirror of history. Through the fascination stories depicted on postage stamps we may accompany explorers of unknown countries, travel on dangerous missions, learn about our favorite sports, strange customs, savage headhunters, forgotten lore, etc. http://comicbookplus.com/?cid=1485 |

Vacuum man: That comic book link deserves a special thread all its own. Why not post it separately so it doesn't get lost within this one? I've seen those comic book covers before, but I've never seen much of the content until now. They appear to have been only recently uploaded at the link provided. In fact, we had a discussion about these very comic books sometime ago and I pulled some historical information about them at this link: https://goscf.com/t/20209Given the limited production run, I imagine they are very rare by today's standards. |
