I had considered the Steiner's pages when I needed a new U.S. Album but chose Mystics American Heirloom Series because of the stamps being on one side and a short write up on the opposing page about the stamps. I wish someone would make that style in other countries besides the U.S. Smaller countries could be grouped by region.

Yes, the Heirloom was very tempting. But for reasons given and the shipping cost to the UK I sadly had to rule it out. SG produce pages for their GB Windsor Elite albums that follow the Heirloom format; but they are flawed because the placing of the stamp boxes on the pages in many cases puts the stamps very close to the page edge. A recipe for disaster. They have had this brought to their attention but despite a total revision of the pages a while back they have done nothing about this.

That's too bad. Somebody at SG must have been asleep at the wheel.

When I pointed this out to them, their reply was that they printed them up to fit two different types of album, springback and 22 ring. They said they had to allow more room on the bind side of the pages to accommodate the springback clamp. this meant there was a huge margin on the left and very little on the right when the pages were put in the 22 ring binders. Any decent printer could have made the adjustment when printing out the page plates for the 22 ring binders. This penny pinching production is like the "one size fits all " (or none) socks that never do fit properly.

They're just trying to cut corners to keep the costs down and it doesn't always work. As long as they can continue to sell that's all they care.

Hi TinMan,

I think you are right there. But it looks like it didn't work for SG as they have now discontinued the Windsor Elite 22 ring binders and only offer the springback version. Although the pages look better balanced stamps are still very close to the page edges.
