Luxembourg 2013 - Just Curious: What Is It?

This stamp image represents one of four new stamps from Luxembourg in 2013 that feature noted graphic designers, in this case, the one featuring art by Mik Muhlen. That's as much as I can figure out from their press release. What I can't figure out is what the graphic is supposed to represent ... A sea creature? A cartoon character? Something else? Anyone know for sure?

Although this is not a country I actively collect, I found these stamp images rather interesting.

It's a harm of an octopus in the shape of a "L" for the new "L" rate that replace the "A" rate.

So it's an arm of an octopus ... never would have guessed it, although I do understand the concept that the four stamps shown were all supposed to form an "L" for the new postal rate. I guess the illustrator (Mik Muhlen) must have specialized in colorful cartoonish-type creatures.

2 minutes before I logged in here, I was thinking about the song Octopus's Garden. That's really weird
