For ebay, there is a best offer tool.

I do bidStart. The prices are lower there. Probably because the buyers aren't financially tortured like on ebay. (?). 15% has never failed me as a discount on bS. It isn't much, but I keep in mind the buyer needs to make money too.

I have had offers accepted and rejected I do try to look at the lot and see what the value is there. As a collector sometimes I am willing to pay more for an item if it completes a set etc There are a few sellers out there selling country albums from "estates" at ridiculous asking prices. I look at the content of the lot and offer what I think it is worth sometimes I get an acceptance other times a rejection. It seems the sells who are ridiculously price from the start are the ones who always reject. Perhaps they are paying too much for their material.

But as many say it never hurts to put your offer out there you never know !

As a Cinderella collector the statement above is definitely NOT true. Much of the BoB and Cinderella material is grossly, even laughably overpriced.

Londonbus1.....needs to start a new collection !

That statement definitely is true. There are overpriced items there but you just don't buy them. You have to use the search feature and find reasonable prices for what you are looking for.

There is a lot of overpriced stuff there, but that has been true on ebay, too. If you spend the time to look past the junk, deals can be had. I've been very pleased with the prices I've paid on some items. I'd be more specific, but I don't need the competition for my searches.

One useful feature when reviewing search results is that you can click the little symbol next to a seller's name to delete all of that seller's items from the results of that particular search. So, if the results are clogged with items from someone who charges $7 for shipping, or won't ship to your country, or prices items way up in the sky, their items can go away with one click. The more corporate BS becomes, the more likely it is that that feature goes away, I suspect.

Nice, philb. You can soak the front, but I think I'd leave the back as a cut square:

Philb, I am sure that I do not have to translate the Dutch for you, but being a volunteer at a school I wished the kids here would write that beautiful and readable!
