So, as you can probably tell from my way too many posts, I design album pages for Ukrainian stamps. Every year Ukraine issues a Europa stamp as a mini-sheet and a booklet. The stamps are physically different sizes and are assigned unique Michel numbers.

When I design my pages, I have places to mount the stamps (usually a se-tenant), and the stamps in the booklet.

I am now wondering it it would be a good idea to provide the ability to mount the whole booklet.

Here are some pictures of the Europa 2007 Centenary of Scouting stamps:

What do you guys think? Is is worth preserving the WHOLE booklet?

I have had this same discussion in my mind every time I mount a booklet, if I have two then I will mount the booklet as it came from the philatelic service the other will be mounted open. If I only have one copy the I mount it as it came. Not sure if that helps or not....but that's what I do...sometimes.

I think what I am going to do is put a picture of the booklet, front and on the page, with the stamp mounted between them.

Andy, My experience with this is Netherlands. Back in the good old days the Davo albums used to carry the insides only. The whole booklet was collected separately due to it's thickness! Peter

Ok, I've come up with some options. I don't want to force people to buy the whole booklet twice. And with modern scanners and printers we really don't have to.

Here is the existing page, as I designed it, with just the stamps:

This obviously does NOT preserve the booklet.

Then I thought this might be good:

Here we have a scan of the back of the booklet, and the booklet opened and mounted below it, so you can see the inside.

Option 3 was set up to show the inside and outside of the booklet, and allow you to mount the stamp in between.

Option 4 is the same, but the stamp gets mounted below the two pictures.

What do people think looks the best?
