Hi, I received my Detail magazine today and notice only 3 new issue!!(Well, one with 4 booklets)But, then I check the date and, guest what....only July-August. No September? Perhaps there will be another for September alone, or it will be combine with October-December.

I think some people would see that as a good thing. :) Some countries (USA) issue too many stamps.

I got mine today. If you read page 5 you'll see a small explanation albeit vague about why this issue only covers July and August.

"Now, if this issue feels a little thin - like an entire month of stamps is missing - you're right. Watch for our special "super heroic, true Canadian" September issue (and that's all we're saying), available at the end of August".

"Si vous avez l'impression que ce numéro est un peu mince - comme s'il y manquait les timbres de tout un mois - sachez que ce n'est pas qu'une impression. Nous vous proposerons cependant des la fin août notre numero special de september, un numero où se cotoieront super héros et étoiles canadiennes. Mais nous n'en disons pas plus; soyez au rendez-vous!"

Anyone want to speculate on what "superhero" issue we'll see? Do you think it'll be something similar to the series with Superman, Johnny Canuck, Nelvana, Captain Canuck and Fleur de Lys? I really liked that series so I do hope it is.

Edit to include the following:
Oh I just noticed something else while reading page 5!

"New security feature introduced on Queen definitive reprint. The P2013 Queen booklet of 10 reprint will bear a new security feature printed on the reverse side of the stamp under the adhesive. Available from June 1, collectors with a standing order for booklets of 10 will automatically receive the reprinted booklet (product No. 411214210).

I'm not going to get it but I thought I'd throw it out there for those that might not have seen this.

that's good information on the September special issues of Superheros. I wonder if there will be something extra special happening.

A friend of mine is guessing that the September 'surprise' issue will be for Canadian astronaut Marc Garneau (oops, this was actually Chris Hadfield).

I'm guessing "Superman" (a Canadian creation?), although that would be late for the opening of this year's Superman Man of Steel movie which opened June 14 in Canada. Besides, Superman was already on a stamp back in 1995...

Well 2013 will mark the 80th anniversary of Superman's first appearance in Science Fiction: The Advance Guard of Future Civilization #3 in 1933. The Superman we know didn't appear in DC comics' Action Comics #1 until 1938, but that would be a 75th anniversary, so still worth mentioning. I'd bet that there will be an issue commemorating Superman's special occasion.

And I am guessing there will be a whole bunch items like booklets, souvenir sheets, press sheets, postcards, FDC's, coins, framed prints, etc...

I'm sure you are correct BeeSee; whatever the subject is, there will most likely be lots, and many forms of it.
